We’re implementing a cutting-edge Treasury and Payments Management System for the Azores Regional Government. This project is all about digital transformation, process automation, and delivering a secure, user-friendly platform that will streamline financial operations across the region. 

We’re looking for a seasoned Business Analyst / Functional Consultant who thrives in complex environments and knows their way around financial systems like a pro. You’re not just good with requirements—you understand the language of finance, especially when it comes to payments, treasury, and public sector workflows.

🧠 What You’ll Do

As a Business Analyst / Functional Process Consultant, you’ll be the bridge between business needs and technical solutions. Your mission:

• Lead business requirements gathering using modern techniques and tools
• Design and document functional specifications that make developers smile
• Model and optimize business processes using BPMN
• Collaborate with UX/UI, integration, and development teams to ensure functional excellence
• Support the implementation of a new portal and its integration with external systems
• Help define the MVP and product backlog in close collaboration with stakeholders
• Ensure traceability, clarity, and alignment across all project phases

✅ Must-Haves:

• Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent technical training
• 5+ years of experience in business analysis and functional consulting
• Solid experience in:
  • Business requirements gathering using structured methodologies and tools
  • Writing functional specifications that are clear, complete, and developer-friendly
  • Business process modeling and automation using BPMN
  • End-to-end process design for financial operations, especially treasury and payments workflows
• Experience working in agile environments (Scrum, Kanban)

🎯 Bonus Points:

• Previous work on public administration systems
• Experience in Public Sector Portal Implementation Projects
• Familiarity with OutSystems or other low-code platforms
• Understanding of banking integrations, C2B file formats, and multi-level approval workflows
• Experience with auditing, compliance, and traceability in financial systems
